Download Halo Reach : Beta Now
A few hours ago Halo Reach : Beta was launched and millions of Halo
fans got their first chance at what Microsoft is calling the largest
video game console beta in history.
After building up excitement in the Halo community for several months,
Microsoft and its partners at Bungie Studios opened the Halo: Reach
beta. Most people who get into the multiplayer beta will do so via game
discs from a previous version of the franchise, Halo 3: ODST. The beta
is set to last until May 19. However, some people were able to score
beta codes in a variety of contests from sponsors and other major
sites.
The full version of Halo: Reach is planned for a fall 2010 release. But
Halo fans all over the world are now downloading the 1 GB game in the
hopes of joining the Halo Reach : Beta rush.
The Halo Reach : Beta is not quite fully operational as gamers and
developers are experiencing major network issues and game bugs, but it
should be moving at a pretty good clip anytime that the online team are
applying some technological fixups. Gamers should still expect
suboptimal performance, but should also now be getting the game with
relative ease.
Because of these network issues the developers are giving tips to ease
the problems from the game.
Click Here to Download Halo Reach : Beta Now!
1. Don't restart your search, even if load times are long. The initial
load for map and game type will take a really long time, which is super
lame, but once you've made the connection, the files will be cached to
your hard drive
and the next time you load to same map/game type, it should be nice and
fast.
2. Don't reboot or reload the beta. It won't help and it will actually
clear your cache, making your wait times much longer.
3. Don't leave your party. Since everybody in the party has to load the
same files, your wait is tied to other player's download process as
well. Stick with the same crew and things should iron out.
